Drums/Croakers (3)

General description
Drums and Croakers are members of the "Family Sciaenidae". They are timid, nocturnal fishes, and during the day are found under deep ledges and coral outcrops. All members of the family Sciaenidae are well suited as juveniles in a peaceful aquarium setting but get too large for the average aquarium when they reach maturity. There natural diet consists of snails, clams, and crustaceans.
