General descriptionSea Chubs belong to the family „Kyphosidae“ in the order Perciformes. They are compressed, oval shaped, omnivorous fishes with small teeth which feed on benthic algae, plankton and small invertebrates. A group ogf schooling fishes mostly found in tropical waters of the Indian and western Pacific oceans; two species are known of the western Atlantic.
